During the 1920's thru mid 1930's she was concerned with anti-war movements: Peace Ship, Disarmament, Preparedness, League of Nations, and political candidates who favored her views. During this period she was also actively involved in a committee to obtain Rowe's Island, in the Kalamazoo River between Comstock and Galesburg, for a state park.
